I love that God promises his peace to us. In Psalm 23 he also says He MAKES me lie down in green pastures, he LEADS me beside quiet waters, he REFRESHES my soul. I love the visual of this…it is like visualizing a parent of a toddler making them take a nap. They don’t think they need one- but we know they do! God makes us lie down in green pastures- not old, dry, brittle grass pastures…but green pastures. He leads us by quiet waters- not chaotic, rushing waters. And He refreshes our soul! The peace He leaves us can be found in the guidance He gives us. Rest…let God lead…and let your soul be refreshed.
